Black Child Development

Founded in 1978 by
Greensboro native, Sarah Walden Herbin, the Black Child Development Institute of Greensboro, Inc.
is one of 33 affiliates of the National
Black Child Development Institute. Since their inception they have been
steadfast in the mission of improving and protecting the quality of
life of children, youth and families in the Greater Greensboro
community.

The Hooplife Academy
The Hooplife Academy is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the youth of our community through sports mentorship, character building and academic/literacy programs. The Hooplife Academy's mission is to support the youth of our local communities and work towards a greater good. Their outreach programs and youth initiatives are designed to help develop strong minds, healthy bodies, good character, academic excellence and futue career success.

The Hope
Project
The Hope Project staff, volunteers, advisors, and
community organizations work to bring together community members to
build a network focused on steering kids away from gangs and gang
related activity.

Afro Puffs and Ponytails

Afro Puffs and Ponytails seek to inspire African American teen girls and
young girls by providing positive articles, resources, and words of
encouragement. You will find pictures and personal stories by professional African American women who offer their advice and suggestions for success.
