Mission
Our mission is to promote a mentoring spirit while matching youth with community role models. Youth live in a world full of wonderful opportunities; the goal is to give them proper guidance to obtain them.
Beliefs
From a broad spectrum, we strongly believe that all youth should be paired with a mentor. Not only youth with behavioral or academic issues should be of concern, but even youth who are doing well should be equally involved with a mentor. The need of leadership development is essential for every youth, despite their background.
Vision
OUR VISION IS TO: |
| Build strong relationships with local recreational centers, parents, churches, and schools to develop partnerships within the community striving towards a joint effort in fulfilling the mission and vision of SHIELD. |
| Provide intense training for employees/volunteers to increase their knowledge of the mission and goals as well as their ability to relate with youth to offer customized programming to fit the current needs of today's youth. |
Develop fund raising initiatives to successfully fund the expanding program.

| Locate facilities to operate business to serve a growing capacity of 30-120 children. |
| Establish an effective monitoring system to protect both the youth and the mentor. |
